Moving to The 540: What you need to know

Important reminders as we transition to our temporary space at The Barrington at 540 W. Northwest Highway.

Conference rooms will continue to move offline this week.

• Barrington Board and PreCon – Offline Tuesday, January 20

• ICS Conference Room -  Offline Wednesday, January 28

• Barrington Cloud Conference Room  – Offline  Thursday, January 29

• Barrington Conference room Two – Offline Friday, January 30

Moving reminders:

Anything you need immediately to work – your laptop, headset, camera, etc. – plan to take with you on your move-in day.

Anything you do not need for a day or two, pack to be moved by the moving team. Boxes will be delivered to your working space and you should have them quickly, but if something is critical to your daily work, keep it with you.

Access to The 540

Building key cards will be distributed Thursday and Friday (1/29 & 1/30).

• Group coordinators will distribute the key cards. 

• Pepper does NOT control building access. Employees will be responsible for the cost to replace lost cards, so please be responsible.

• You must have a key card to enter (Rita can’t buzz you in). Please display them at all times while at 540.

Important 540 Info:

• The cafeteria is operated on behalf of another tenant. We can use the tables but we can’t purchase the food. There are vending machines available.

• There is no recycling at The 540. The can at your desk is for garbage. This is out of our control.

• Deliveries – if someone is dropping something off for you, they can meet you at The 540.  FedEx, USPS, etc., will be delivered to The 411 Annex, and brought to The 540 via inter-office mail.

Move-out schedule:

Have questions? Write them on the lunchroom whiteboard or send them to Rita Gebauer. We will provide answers in our regular updates. Here are the questions we got last week:

• Can I bring my fridge, heater, heating blanket? No, sorry. The new workstations are not set up for the additional electrical load and these are a fire hazard

• Will we have FedEx, Courier, Sub pickups for checks? Yes! Signatures will not be updated so you will need to communication to whomever is picking up a check our new address (540 W. Northwest Highway)

• Is there 24/7 access to the 540 building? Yes! You can access the building at any time. However, the gym is available 7am-7pm, the HVAC will run 7am-7pm and the building lights operate from 6:30am to 11pm.

• Are there EV chargers? No

• Will the Bevi machine come with us to The 540? No
