The countdown is on! What you need to know as we prepare to transition to The Barrington at 540 Northwest Highway.

Have questions? Write them on the lunchroom whiteboard or send them to Rita Gebauer. We will provide answers in our regular updates. Here are the questions we got last week:

  • I have to have my personal stuff out this Friday. Where am I working next week? Continue to work at The 411 as usual until your group is scheduled to move into the 540. If you’re not sure of your work schedule, reach out to your manager.

  • What are “personal items?” Anything that you have brought to the office to make it your own – pictures, plants, etc. Those items should be taken home.

  • What do I take to the 540? IT will manage moving monitors. You should take your computer and peripherals like headset/earpiece, webcam, etc. Anything you need for your day-to-day work (pens, stapler, etc.) should be taken with you when your group moves to the 540.

Moving out of The 411

Today – January 20:

  • The printers by the Mailroom, IT and Conference Room 2 are moving to 540. Go to  PrinterLogic  or click the printer icon on the right-hand side of the task bar to connect to the printers by Accounting (Xerox 2, Xerox 7) or Human Resources (Xerox 4)

  • Board Room and Precon conference rooms can no longer be booked

Friday – January 23

  • Meet up at the 540 from 2-3:30pm to check out our space

  • Clear out all personal items

Furniture from the conference rooms is moving with us to 540. See schedule below for when conference rooms will no longer be available:

  • Boxes will be stored at Hager Street until we return to The 411 after renovation.

January 13, 2026

Thank you to everyone who participated in our first Pepper Purge Day! Your efforts are helping set us up for a smooth transition during the 411 Renovation. As you pack up your workspace, if you have Pepper memorabilia you’d like to donate to our archives, please drop it off with Rita Gebauer.

We’re currently finalizing a people-focused work plan that includes temporary workspace at an offsite, leased facility in Barrington, options in other offices and jobsites and work-from-home arrangements.

Temporary Space Update

We’re making great progress on our temporary space at The Barrington, located at: 540 West Northwest Highway, Barrington, IL 60010. It’s just northwest of our existing building and less than 1.5 miles away.

  • The new space will accommodate 70 people.

  • The fitness center includes fully equipped locker rooms with showers, a large area for fitness equipment, an aerobics room, and multiple mother’s rooms.

  • Enjoy outdoor dining on the private patio during those warm sunny days.

Questions or Need Help?

  • Questions about your temporary location? Please contact your department leader.

  • For additional support, reach out to Ryan Nikolich, Project Lead, or your team’s Move Champion listed below:

These teammates are here to help coordinate the move and keep communication flowing. We’re on a fast track with our first teams scheduled to begin working there on 2/2/26 just two weeks away.

Beginning today, unoccupied offices and cubes will be cleared. Equipment from those spaces will be relocated to the 540 building with select furniture and a few copy machines to follow soon.

Thank you for your continued patience and teamwork as we move forward. Every step you take now helps ensure Pepper’s success!

A seating chart will be shared on Thursday.
